Georgie Newson is a PhD student in Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. Her work focuses on the ways in which complex systems have been imagined as cognitive agents across a range of historical and scientific contexts. Her MPhil, completed at Cambridge, looked at the ‘universal philosophical languages’ of the early Royal Society, a world she has enjoyed revisiting through working with EMLO.
